Shopping

Did my weekly shopping today. That always is a fun experience, and a great way to throw away money, if you have too much of it. Speaking of having too much of something, one of my friends suggested activities to help kill time, if I had too much of it. I don't know how this works for others, but I feel there is never enough time, especially during the weekends. There is so much I want to do but never can (like rearranging my shelves or learning to play something other than 'happy birthday to you' on my guitar) because there just isn't enough time. If we just threw away our watches and stopped keeping track of time, maybe then we'd have have unlimited time to do whatever we want. Ah, wishful thinking. Anyway, this post was supposed to be about my shopping trip.
My first stop was at the cycle dada's shop. The man is in his sixties and it would make more sense to call him 'uncle' like the other customers but I prefer dada. This was my 4th visit in less than 2 months, so I got a smile that said "yes, I appreciate the business". I am giving my cycle another month or two to get its act together. Or else..well, I'll sell it to some bad person who won't take even half as much care of it as I do. (Actually, that would be really difficult and besides, half of nothing is still nothing).
While my cycle was getting all the care it deserves, I stocked up on supplies for the month. Having spent all the money I had on me, I decided to join the queue outside the ATM. That gave me a chance to catch up on the latest gossip around this place, and (unintentionally) listen in on a few private conversations. You know, someone should warn people not to discuss personal matters outside ATM's. What if it was someone other than me in that line, someone who would listen in on their conversation and write about it later? Scary thought.. :)
